Why this page exists

Puff Rate is a reference. Documenting a cigar honestly means naming the brand, the line, and the vitola, and sometimes showing the band or the box. This page explains the basis for that use, and sets the ground rules for reusing what's published here.

How we use brand names and imagery

Brand names, line names, logos, and band artwork that appear on Puff Rate belong to their respective owners. We use them nominatively — to identify the actual product being documented and reviewed — and editorially, in the context of criticism, commentary, and reference. Their appearance here does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from any manufacturer or brand. Puff Rate doesn't sell tobacco and has no commercial relationship with the products it documents unless explicitly stated.

Photos uploaded by members are the member's own work, licensed to Puff Rate as described in the terms. Where product imagery depicts trademarked designs, it appears for identification and commentary.

Using Puff Rate content elsewhere

The room's work is meant to be cited. You're welcome to:

• Quote excerpts of reviews and data with attribution to Puff Rate and the member, plus a link to the source page.
• Reference our aggregate ratings and cigar data in articles, forums, and videos, with a link.

What crosses the line:

• Republishing full reviews, member photos, or substantial portions of the database.
• Scraping or bulk-copying content, or presenting our data as your own dataset or product.
• Using member content commercially without permission from the member who wrote it.
