Profile

  • Wrapper: Cocoa-scented with a sweet aroma.
  • Cold Draw: Smoky, sappy sweetness with burnt sugar notes.
  • Start: Nutty with a salty finish, featuring toasted nuts, caramel, pecans, and leather.
  • Second Third: Rich, thick profile with clove-like spice and a return of salty, nutty flavors.
  • Final Third: Light pepper emerges, and the richness is reinforced, though the experience is hampered by a loose wrapper.

General Notes

  • wrapper odor smells of cocoa
  • sweet
  • cold draw is smoky
  • sappy
  • and sweet… a bit of burnt sugar at the tip of my tongue
  • Cigar is firm
  • looking at it you can see and feel how well constructed this cigar is
  • Initial draw is very nutty
  • salt now covers the sap from the cold draw on the tip off my tongue
  • Toasted nuts with caramel
  • Pecans and leather
  • 23 minutes in and excellent construction
  • even burn line with no touch-ups
  • The profile has been rich from the start really thick
  • but mostly stays towards the edges of my tongue
  • as I begin to enter the second third
  • the richness is slowly seeping in towards the middle of my tongue
  • Deep into the second third and it has a clove-like profile
  • Nearing the end of the second third and the nutty salty flavor is coming back
  • 5: 32pm and the ash finally fell
  • that's nearly an hour of ash stacking… seriously excellent construction
  • The wrapper is falling off the final third. I've got a hold it in place.
  • Final third was light peppered with reinforced richness
  • Would have smoked it down further and given a higher rating if the wrapper stayed on in the final third. Became too painful to hold wrapper in place and it stopped burning.
  • Overall
  • an excellent cigar
  • glad I have another 4 of these at home.
