Backstory: A tribute to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The name Triunfal — Spanish for 'triumphant' — celebrates the spirit of competition and victory. This is Plasencia's second World Cup tribute cigar, following the Ehtëfal released for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Release: Limited Edition unveiled at the 2026 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans (April 17–20, 2026). Total production capped at 5,000 individually numbered boxes worldwide (50,000 cigars total). Hit retail in May 2026.

Tobacco: A milestone blend — the first Plasencia cigar to use 100% organic filler tobaccos grown by the company in both Honduras and Nicaragua. Wrapper sourced from Finca La Tradición in Honduras's Jamastrán Valley. Binder from Finca San Agustín in Olancho, Honduras. Filler combines organic Nicaraguan leaf from the La Vega farm in Jalapa with organic Honduran leaf from the La Tradición farm. Rolled by two master bunchers using a slower, more meticulous process.

Color: Wrapper has a natural look with slight sheen — understated rather than flashy, evenly packed with no soft spots.

Fun Fact: Box design is stadium-inspired — subtle green striping evokes a playing field, accented with gold and individually numbered for collectors. Pairs the release with Plasencia's broader 2026 brand identity refresh also unveiled at PCA.

Fun Fact: The blend was developed to offer notes of chocolate, cacao, and aged rum, with marketing materials highlighting toffee, cedar, creaminess, toasted almonds, molasses, and earth. Strength stays steady through most of the smoke and creeps slightly into the final third without ever pushing past balanced.
