Backstory: The My Father Blue is the García family's first Honduran-made cigar. In late 2022, the family began planning a new factory in Honduras, quietly growing tobacco before announcing any production plans. The factory, My Father Cigars Honduras, is located in El Paraíso. The Honduran tobaccos are grown at Finca La Opulencia in Talanga — the García family's first farm in Honduras. The Blue represents My Father's expansion beyond their established Nicaraguan operations (Estelí main factory, TACUBA secondary factory, and a small rolling operation in Doral, Florida).

Release: First shipped July 2025 as regular production. Offered in four box-pressed vitolas: Petit Robusto (4½ x 50, $9), Robusto (5¼ x 52, $10.50), Toro (6 x 54, $12), and Toro Gordo (6 x 60, $13).

Tobacco: The blend is internally called "1 – H". It uses a Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado wrapper over Honduran binder and filler. The official description calls it a "sophisticated fusion of three distinct tobacco varieties." The Honduran tobaccos (binder and filler) include Corojo and Criollo varietals grown at Finca La Opulencia.

Color: Described as a "darker umber color" that is fairly consistent but with significant visible texture — plentiful veins that sometimes produce black lines, and noticeable texture at the foot.

Fun Fact: The blue packaging pays homage to the Honduran flag. Roman numerals on the secondary band mark 2025, the year of its debut. My Father became one of just two companies to make cigars in both Nicaragua and Honduras in the span of a year (alongside Arturo Fuente, which also expanded to Nicaragua around the same time).

Starts off light with a grape-like flavor, dried fruit. Spice picks up, like red pepper. Eventually smooths out with creamy coffee notes.
