Backstory: Mission Zero is Klaro Cigars' first cigar release. Klaro is primarily known as a humidor and accessories company and partnered with JRE Tobacco Co. and the Eiroa family to create this cigar. The project reportedly involved a decade-long development process, with the Eiroa family contributing guidance on cultivation, curing, fermentation, and rolling techniques. The cigar is a Honduran puro using tobaccos grown on the JRE Tobacco Farm in the Jamastran Valley.

Release: Released February 2026 as a limited edition. Production is capped at 350 boxes of 10 (3,500 total cigars). Distribution went through a lottery selection on February 10th, with remaining inventory sold publicly the following day. Approximately 25 retailers carry the cigar, with Klaro selling remaining stock direct-to-consumer.

Tobacco: Honduran Cameroon wrapper — specifically a Cameroon-seed wrapper grown in Honduras. Both binder and filler are Honduran, making this a Honduran puro. Flavor notes described as cedar and cocoa with a gradual sweetness throughout the smoking experience.

Fun Fact: Klaro leaned heavily into a space mission theme. The traditional smoking thirds (first, second, final) are renamed "liftoff," "mid orbit," and "re-entry" in their marketing. Each box includes four aluminum travel tubes and a fifth tube shaped like a rocket booster that doubles as a cigar stand. An aluminum Crew Pass Card with a QR code provides priority access to Klaro's future "mission launches," suggesting a planned series of themed releases.

Fun Fact: The cigar's torpedo vitola was chosen intentionally to resemble a rocket when lit — pointed top with an orange-glowing foot.

About 15 minutes in and the sweet baking spices start to tickle the tip of my tongue.

The baking spices turned to cinnamon. The fresh cedar flavor deepens into an oaky and bold flavor.

Every draw on the cigar hits me with a wave of dark chocolate and coffee notes. The aftermath creates a lasting sweetness. Not at all overpowering.
