Backstory: The Grand Cru name honors the original prestige line Zino Davidoff created in 1946. Zino borrowed the language of fine winemaking — assembling tobaccos from different terroirs much as a Bordeaux blends several grape varieties — which is where the grand cru idea comes from.

Tobacco: A Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador over well-aged Dominican binder and filler. The leaf is blended from roughly four-year-aged Dominican tobaccos, rolled by the top-grade rollers, then rested in the brand's aging room in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

Color: Silky, pale golden Connecticut-shade wrapper — maps to the Claro / Connecticut enum.

Release: Core regular-production line (not a limited edition). A separate Grand Cru Diademas Finas limited collection exists but is a distinct release in a different format, not this Toro.

Strength: Described as mellow to medium-bodied — classified as Mild-Medium.

Dimensions: 6 in × 54 ring gauge. One retailer summary listed 6 × 50, but the official brand page and the majority of major retailers list 6 × 54 — using 54.
