The marketed size 'Short Perfecto' is non-standard; mapped to the standard Perfecto vitola with the marketed name preserved in customVitola.
Backstory: The Aniversario line traces back to 1986, when Zino Davidoff commissioned a cigar to celebrate his 80th birthday — the Davidoff 80 Aniversario. That release was rolled in Cuba and is widely regarded as the last new Cuban Davidoff before the brand's split with Cubatabaco. After production moved to the Dominican Republic in the early 1990s, Aniversario was reborn as a standalone Dominican line, anchored by the No. 1 (an 8 2/3 × 48 double corona) and expanded over the years with additional vitolas.
Release: Regular production. Part of the white-band Aniversario core lineup, hand-rolled at the Davidoff factory in Villa González, Dominican Republic. Sold in boxes of 25 and 4-pack tins.
Tobacco: A blend of three Dominican long-fillers drawn from multiple harvests, a Dominican Piloto binder, and a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper.
Color: Light tan, oily Connecticut Shade wrapper with a gentle sheen — fits the Claro / Connecticut category.
Fun Fact: The original 80 Aniversario shipped in distinctive wooden tubes and double-sided swing-open boxes — packaging that became part of the Aniversario lore. The Short Perfecto retains the line's signature figurado silhouette, with both ends tapered and a gentle bulge through the middle, smoking in roughly 25 minutes.
