Winston Churchill The Late Hour Petit Belicoso

Backstory: A tribute to Sir Winston Churchill, who famously worked late into the night. Churchill's great-grandson Randolph Churchill described those hours as the time when Churchill 'would gather all those resources together and commit himself to working' — 'the late hours and the dark hours were when Churchill was his most productive in life.' The Late Hour debuted in 2017 as a bolder, richer extension of the Winston Churchill line (originally introduced in 2015).

Release: The Belicoso is the first non-parejo vitola for The Late Hour line. U.S. release scheduled for January 22, 2026 — nine years after the line's debut. Sold in metal tins of 4 cigars (tin MSRP $49.60).

Tobacco: The signature element of The Late Hour blend is the Condega Visus filler, which is aged for six months in single-malt Scotch whisky barrels, allowing the tobacco to absorb whisky aromas. Davidoff describes the Belicoso as medium filler, meaning at least some of the filler uses short-filler tobacco from leftover leaves; the wrapper and binder remain longfiller.

Color: A shiny, oily Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper — beautifully dark, flawless in texture, with even coloration. The dark hue pairs visually with the cigar's black and gold band.

Fun Fact: Pronounced flavor notes include black coffee up front, with fresh spice from the Nicaraguan fillers, deep undertones of leather mingled with chocolate and cream, and finishing aromas of black pepper, oak, and malt — the malt character a direct reflection of the whisky-cask-aged Condega.

Fun Fact: The Belicoso measures 4.5 × 46 — shorter and slimmer than a traditional belicoso, fitting closer to a Petit Belicoso size profile despite being marketed simply as 'Belicoso.'
