Backstory: Released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Syncro Nicaragua line, which originally debuted at the 2015 IPCPR trade show. The Syncro Nicaragua was a milestone for AVO — the first AVO blend to use Nicaraguan tobacco, the first regular-production box-pressed AVO, and the first regular-production box-pressed cigar ever produced at Davidoff's Dominican Republic factory. The AVO brand itself traces back to a 1987 partnership between musician Avo Uvezian and Davidoff master blender Hendrik 'Henke' Kelner.
Release: Began shipping to U.S. retailers on April 3, 2025. 3,400 boxes allocated for the U.S. market, packaged in 20-count collectible boxes (~68,000 cigars total for U.S.).
Tobacco: Distinct blend from the original Syncro Nicaragua. The original used a Dominican binder and a four-country filler (Dominican, Nicaragua-Ometepe, Olancho, Peru). The 10th Anniversary uses a Nicaraguan binder and a simpler Nicaraguan + Dominican filler — making the anniversary release more Nicaragua-forward than its predecessor.
Color: Wrapper presents a medium Colorado / cinnamon-reddish brown hue with raised veins, smooth to the touch, with relatively low oil sheen.
Fun Fact: The 10th Anniversary is presented as a double-tapered diadema fina in a box-pressed format — combining the line's signature box-press identity with a more dramatic, soft-pressed figurado silhouette featuring tapered head and rounded shoulders. This vitola/format is exclusive to the anniversary release.
